Fixing a Broken Website

Bright Klean Services does excellent work. But their digital presence told a different story. When we first audited the site, it was scoring just 45% in overall site health — broken signals, disorganized structure, and a backend full of conflicting information that made it nearly impossible for search engines to trust or rank the business. They were practically invisible online.

Organic traffic was minimal. Meaningful search visibility was nonexistent. And as AI-powered search tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude become the first stop for millions of consumers, not showing up in those results meant missing an entirely new category of customer.

What we did: a ground-up rebuild

Starting in early 2026, we took on every layer of Bright Klean's Services digital presence — from the code to the content to the search ecosystem around them.​

  • Site architecture overhaul

    • The existing site was reorganized from the ground up. Ppage hierarchy, URL structure, internal linking, and technical SEO signals were all rebuilt to reflect how search engines expect a credible, authoritative business to be structured.

  • Backend and Google Workspace cleanup

    • We went deep into the backend — cleaning up metadata, fixing errors, and auditing the Google Workspace setup. Messy integrations and outdated configurations were dragging down trust signals that search platforms rely on to rank a business.

  • SEO + GEO strategy

    • We implemented a combined SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy. SEO helps Bright Klean Services rank in traditional Google and Bing searches. GEO is newer. It optimizes how a business is discovered by large language models (LLMs), the AI systems powering tools like ChatGPT, Google's AI overviews, etc. LLMs are AI programs trained on massive amounts of text that understand questions and generate answers. Increasingly, they're where people turn first when looking for a local service. We made sure Bright Klean Services shows up there too.

  • Cleaning up conflicting information

    • Across the web — business directories, Google Business Profile, third-party listings — Bright Klean had inconsistent names, addresses, phone numbers, and descriptions. This kind of conflicting data confuses search engines and erodes trust. We audited and corrected every listing to create a consistent digital footprint.

  • Original content: two days of on-site shoots

    • Stock imagery and placeholder copy only go so far. We went out to Bright Klean Services actual locations on two separate shoot days to capture real photo and video content. Authentic visuals build trust with both visitors and search algorithms — and they're the foundation of a content strategy that holds up long-term.​​

10-year milestone that proved the strategy

The digital refresh wasn't just about search — it was about giving Bright Klean a bigger platform to celebrate a big moment. As part of the engagement, we created social media content to support their 10-year anniversary push. Something to note is that business with this much time existing are perfect candidates for a refresh. They have more than than enough reputar and time to build a sustainable digital footprint and commanding presence.

Their anniversary post hit 1,100 views — by far the highest-performing post in the account's history. For context, prior posts had been averaging around 50 views. That's a 22x jump, driven not just by the milestone content itself, but by an audience that could finally find them, follow them, and engage with what they were putting out.

That number is a signal. When the content is good and the infrastructure behind it is solid, the audience shows up.

The result: 100% site health and a presence that performs

Bright Klean Services site health score went from 45% to 83% at the start of our engagement, and has since reached a perfect 100%. But the number that matters most isn't a score; it's customers finding them when and where it counts.
 

Site health can be determined by using Schema (box of code AI uses to identify your business), re written to sound instructional and not salsey, but what matters is results. From one month of fixing the site, BKS has recorded 5 calls, all being qualified leads.
